Empowering Nurses: TOSHPA’s Diabetes Education Initiative in Sierra Leone

In 2023, TOSHPA, a health care charity in UK, won a grant from the Burdett Trust for Nursing to train and up skills Nurses in Diabetes education and management in Sierra Leone.


I was one of the volunteer nurses from TOSHPA and did a two week plus residency at the Bo Government Hospital in May and June 2024.My role included teaching nurses, raising awareness and health promotion to both patients and staff as seen in various pictures.
